Born in 1956 in Hefei, China’s Anhui Province, Ning Jizhe earned his doctorate in Economics from Renmin University of China and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Hefei University of Technology. He serves as a postdoctoral supervisor at both the State Information Center and the China Center for International Economic Exchanges (CCIEE). Dr. Ning is a Vice Director of the Economic Committee of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). From 2003 to 2015, he was the Deputy Director and then Director of the Research Office of the State Council. Dr. Ning was also the deputy director of the Academy of Macroeconomic Research. From 2015 to 2022, he was a deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), and the President of the National Statistical Society of China.
