Sudrajat is a retired military leader who served as Indonesia's Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China. He began his career in the Indonesian Army as a Second Lieutenant after graduating from the Indonesian Military Academy. He rose to the rank of Brigadier General, then Major General, and served as Defense Attaché at Indonesia’s diplomatic missions in London and Washington, D.C. Under President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, he was appointed Chief Spokesman of the Military, becoming a well-known face through his regular television appearances. In 2005, Major General Sudrajat was appointed Ambassador to China.
