Jean Eric Salata is Chairman of EQT Asia. Mr. Salata joined Baring Private Equity Asia in 1997 before leading the management buyout in 2000. He was responsible for the investment activity of BPEA until 2022, when the company joined forces with global private equity firm EQT and renamed BPEA EQT. Mr. Salata established the Salata Institute for Climate and Sustainability at Harvard University to develop and promote solutions for climate change. He has lived and worked in Hong Kong since 1989, and graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
