Zhou Wenzhong was China's Vice Foreign Minister and Ambassador to the United States from 2005 to 2010. During his tenure, he played a key role in managing U.S.-China relations, particularly during critical events such as the 2008 financial crisis and growing trade tensions. Prior to Washington, he was China’s Ambassador to Australia, Barbados, and Antigua and Barbuda. Following his retirement from diplomacy, he served as Secretary-General of the Boao Forum for Asia, a platform aimed at promoting economic cooperation in Asia, and Vice President of the U.S.-China Peoples Friendship Association.
