Cui Jianchun is a diplomat and the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in Hong Kong since April 2024. Prior to his current role, Commissioner Cui was China’s Ambassador to Nigeria from 2021 to 2024. His diplomatic career also includes positions as Minister Counselor in France, Ambassador to Kuwait, and Deputy Director-General of the Consular Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Before entering diplomacy, Mr. Cui worked at the China National Nuclear Corporation. He is invited to speak at the Welcome Dinner of the U.S.-Hong Kong Forum.
